Biography

Suzanne focuses solely on personal injury matters—primarily car crashes, premises liability, and nursing home abuse and neglect cases.

Suzanne is a Maryland native who grew up in Baltimore City. She attended Institute of Notre Dame High School (IND), followed by Virginia Tech, where she studied Political Science and Professional Writing. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and received her bachelor’s degree. Suzanne then moved back to Baltimore City and continued her studies at The University of Baltimore School of Law, where she graduated Cum Laude.

After finishing law school, Suzanne moved to Annapolis and began her career as a Judicial Law Clerk for The Honorable Laura S. Kiessling (now Judge Ripken) in the Circuit Court of Anne Arundel County. After completing her clerkship, she entered private practice and worked with a firm handling solely personal injury Plaintiff’s work. During that time, Suzanne gained extensive trial experience representing injured individuals against big business insurance companies. It was there that her passion for helping victims developed.

In 2023, Suzanne was an honoree of The Daily Record’s Top 100 Women Award which recognizes high-achieving women who are making an impact through their leadership, mentoring, and community service. Prior to that, in 2019 Suzanne was named by the Daily Record as a “Leading Women” honoree. This distinguished award is given to women age 40 or younger who have demonstrated tremendous accomplishments in their careers, while also showing a commitment to their communities and to inspiring change. In 2012, after practicing law only two years, The Maryland Daily Record honored Suzanne as a “20 in their Twenties” award recipient for her professional accomplishments and service to the community.

Suzanne currently serves on the Board of Directors for Maryland Hall for Creative Arts in Annapolis and has been a long-time supporter, previously being a founding member of the Young Patrons for Maryland Hall. She was formerly a Baltimore City Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in the foster care system and is a consistent supporter of Anne Arundel County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).

Suzanne sits on the Anne Arundel Bar Association’s Board of Trustees (AABA) and is President-Elect for 2023-2024. She has been on the board for a decade, holding various positions including Community Services Chair, Social Programs Chair and chair of the New Lawyer Committee. She was honored with the AABA President’s Award in 2018 for her work on the board, and notably that year, her outstanding efforts to plan a Barrister’s Ball which raised money for veterans.

Suzanne is active with the Maryland trial lawyer through Maryland Association for Justice (MAJ). She is the co-chair of the Women’s Caucus and is on the board for the Political Action Committee (PAC), leading fundraising efforts for candidates who are committed to protecting our civil justice system and victims of negligence.

She is also an active member of the Prince George’s County Bar Association, Maryland State Bar Association and the Society for Women Trial Lawyer. Suzanne has been recognized annually since 2013 by Super Lawyer with the revered distinction of ‘A Rising Star’ in Maryland and Washington D.C.

Suzanne lives in Annapolis with her husband, Andrew, their son, Brooks, daughters, Quinn and Adeline, and rescue dog, Koco.
